Since starting out in Auckland, New Zealand, a decade ago, Sophia Cussell has gone on to craft communications strategies, campaigns, and integrated content in London and New York, before landing in Melbourne, where she now calls home.
I’ve produced campaigns and content for some of the best brands and businesses in the marketing realm. I started at DDB New Zealand with Damon Stapleton and Shane Bradnick at the helm. I delivered award-winning communications campaigns, including Volkswagen’s The Last Beetle, and ecostore's bold initiative, Permanent Bottle Recall, which changed a generation’s view on recycling. I worked at Havas London under Vicki Maguire, where I commemorated fifty years of the country’s leading rice brand. Then, at Saatchi & Saatchi, I developed the campaign unveiling the highly anticipated iPhone 15 for Apple and Vodafone. I spent two years in New York delivering campaigns for the U.S.A.’s most influential asset manager, taking over the bright billboards of Times Square. Now here in Melbourne, I am developing communication strategies and copy-led campaigns that deliver results.
